It is increasingly becoming common for schools to use manual and some basic stand-alone systems for capturing, analysing and providing operational and management information.
The repetitive task of capturing data wastes a lot of labour hours and data accuracy is fallible, hence, the quality of information derived is compromised.
Many of the automated standalone systems were designed to address certain specific operations, and could be outdated with limiting user friendly functionality.
Further, there is often difficulty in interfacing (linking) to current modern or future systems. All these factors need to be addressed through implementing easy-to-use, efficient, secure, effective and reliable automated systems that also have a capacity to be scaled over time.
